For a reason you’re here…
You got me under the blankets,
sighing, remembering your lips.
I know you probably like me —
that you enjoyed my wet hips,
my body over your pelvis,
and my waist when it’s time to sleep.
There are some things obvious.
You were so in love before,
and then tried to erase your burning fire of youth —
it’s like trying to extinguish a blaze
that climbs the treetops
and continues burning between two hearts
unwilling to surrender.
I’m the deep, fluid ocean.
And you’re used to getting lost in the smoke.
With you, it was not necessary to have the control.
The universe was the vehicle
that guided our course.
I’ll keep surfing the waves —
not expecting to quench your thirst,
but always wanting to kiss you one time more.
We both know this is not common.
Not everything is usually so aligned.
But maybe I’m just idealizing boundaries…
It’s time to face real life.
